€900,000 of grants awarded to media organisations to report on global development challenges
Supporting sustainable and impactful journalistic coverage is essential to increase public awareness for, and interest in, the many challenges and solutions contained within global development and the Sustainable Development Goals. The European Development Journalism Grants programme supports journalistic media organisations with its year-long reporting projects about global development topics.
Grants of up to €120,000 now available for newsroom reporting on global development
Media organisations can now apply for the last round of the European Development Journalism Grants programme. Eight grants worth €112,500 on average each will be awarded to media outlets in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom to report on global development topics during the course of one year. The deadline to apply is 8 February 2021 at 11:59 pm CET (deadline extended from 18 January).

The European Journalism Centre is pleased to announce that the European Publishers Reporting Grants, aiming to foster an innovative approach to global development coverage, have been awarded to Society (France), Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Germany), de Volkskrant (the Netherlands), VPRO (the Netherlands), CNN (UK), ELLE UK (UK) and The Bureau of Investigative Journalism (UK).

EJC announces the winners of the special funding round for European media
The European Journalism Centre (EJC) is delighted to announce the winners of the special funding round for European media launched as part of its Innovation in Development Reporting (IDR) Grant Programme. A combined total of €600.000 will be awarded to Dagens Nyheter (Sweden), De Correspondent (the Netherlands), SPIEGEL ONLINE (Germany) and WeltN24 (Germany) with the aim to support one-year-long innovative storytelling on global development.
