Neues Deutschland (ND) is a small German daily newspaper. It was originally the official party newspaper of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED), which governed German Democratic Republic (GDR) before the Fall of the Berlin Wall. It has retained a socialist outlook and is both politically and financially tied to the political party The Left (Die Linke).
