Le Point is a French weekly political and news magazine, published in Paris since 1972. It quickly started redefining the whole genre of the magazine in France, modelling itself on American Time or Newsweek. Opening its columns to all kind of political opinions, Le Point poses itself as politically independent, with clearly liberal views, and has a weekly circulation of around 400 000 copies
