La Vanguardia is a daily newspaper published in Barcelona established in 1881 and today it is one of the largest and most influential newspapers in Spain. La Vanguardia’s political outlook is liberal. It is noted for its coverage of international affairs and for its sports reporting. The newspaper prints daily in two parallel editions, one in Spanish and, since 2011, another one in Catalan.
